Gaffs are no longer able to be used in freshwater this year. 2012,   Im assuming that includes the large treble hooked ice gaffs.

I have bogas but berkley makes a cheaper one with a built in digital scale around 50$

Heh, I was just in the mood for spending money on fishing gear and was thinking how I don't have a gaff and was pondering getting one.

I've never needed one or lost a fish through the ice where a gaff would have come in useful... So sticking with my boca grip knock off.
