the leadfish is back
« on: Aug 16, 2012, 06:17 PM »
Down-East has been making their own version of the leadfish jig since the 50's. It's the exact mirror image of the leadfish except only one bend, at the tail. In the recent past all you could get them in were chrome, last winter I got Scott to do them in gold, and a few days ago he showed me some done in copper. All we need now is for some ice on Sebago.

When the lead fish first came out the gray and white really worked  good as a spin cast lure. back in the 60tys caught a lot of bass,Browns on the smelt pattern.  I could never do anything on the chrome one.   The Smelt Worked good at moosehead jigging Togue  also.
