I purchased a neck gaiter, like it a lot.

I bought one a few years ago at an ice fishing show here in New York and I really like it.  The company is called Fleece Corner.  I got their thermal top (Polartec Powerstretch) and it has a thick turtle neck.  If its cold and I'm going to be out in the open this is what I wear.  It's not cheap, $50, but it is a great product.

I rarely fish in a tent.  I like to dress to keep my neck and head warm.

Any Walmart $8 turtleneck will work....does your neck get that cold?  If you do not want to wear an extra layer (the turtleneck), buy a scarf or dickie.  Remember them, dickies.  Otherwise, zip up your zipper.

I always wear a turtle neck when it's cold, place a disposable hand warmer under the turtle neck for extra warmth.

I got some carhart thermals on sale at dicks last year that are 1/4 zip turtle neck. They are a great base layer and keep the wind of your neck. I got them for 10 bucks each and they are normally 20.

Slamminsam,

I am looking for the full long sleeve shirt with the neck like the old "dickies".  I have the neck gaiter type.
It is nice to be warm when it is - 10F and the wind is blowing across the lake.

BigDynamite,

I found the Polartech for $60.00 plus $28.00 shipping.  I think I'll look around for it.  Appears to be a good product.
