Leader Question

Id like to set some TU for dedicated pike fishing. What is the best leader material to use on these? What sized hook? I seemed to do pretty good with #2 longshanked pickerel hooks, but Im sure there are better.
Thanks

60lb steel leader with good crimps and 1/0 treble hook. And the northerns still chew through the steel leader every once in a while. And we also catch just as many walleye on this setup as any other setup would.
