Brigham pond hubbardston
« on: Jan 11, 2012, 11:49 AM »
Anyone taken a look at Brigham since last week? I checked last Thursday and there was only about 2" of ice at the dam end. I did go out and chipped a couple of holes so I know it was about 2". I need at least 4" as I weigh 250+ and won't take a chance on less. Anyone who has been out on it or has checked the ice themselves please respond and thanks in advance.

I was out there last friday. Was a good 4 inches on the dam side all the way across. Outside of the damn by the inlet was open water..

This is at the middle of the cove by the dam

Around the corner by the inlet.

I will be out again Friday to check after we get this "storm"
Moosehorn looked much more promising.

The fishing was good; it was the catching that was bad.

I'm optimistic about Brigham or Moosehorn this weekend. Bring your spikes...and a life jacket.
Cheers,

Pete
