Flasher Interference?????

Was on ice the other day that had powers lines going across from the top. My Marcum LX-1 Pro was not acting right. A guy told me that the power lines were causing it to act up. Ever heard of such a thing? Has it happened to you?

Are they the real high voltage power lines, I've had them mess up my gps before.

the vex has an interference button. but never that i remember ever fishing under power lines :-\
