A REMINDER is due for CHECKING THE DATES of the Map Reports posted as these short "heat waves" clearly affect the condition of the ice! Shoreline access will definitely be affected as will many spots on the water! Trees and other exposed structure should be treated with ultimate care when approaching.
The Ice Map Team appreciates ALL reports on diminishing ice conditions, and will post them at the earliest possibility after receiving them!
The use of a SPUD BAR, WEARING a life jacket and ice pics around your neck are as IMPORTANT during these "heat waves" as they are during first and late ice!
