temps look good for this week but then rain for few days next , this ice just dont want to come !!
my local small lake had 2 inches last week , now down to probably 1/4

I was just talking with some of the guys that were on the rescue. It turns out it was an autistic kid who wandered out on the ice and the a security guard saw him go through and went out to pull him out. Thank God it turned out good.

The potential problem is we get a few days of cold temps then a day or two of above freezing temps and some rain.

I just watched the report for the weekend, looks like we just might dodge this bullet! Today, it'll be warm and cloudy, tomorrow the main part of the storm should pass to the south. We might get some drizzle and light rain but it shouldn't hurt what we have already. IhopeIhopeIhope! Then back to cold temps at night.

Not looking good for swpa, no real cold temps in the 10 day forecast. Maybe we'll be on ice by February.

We got the gear out yesterday. Will start to get it ready this week... respool reels, cycle and recharge the Vex batteries, clean and reorganize the jig boxes and buckets, etc. Anxious to get out, but have traditional muzzleloader season to get through before we get really serious about ice fishing. By then, hopefully we will be able to get on our favorite spots!

I am so happy I took off on Friday and went to PL for my first time this season. It has been raining cats and dogs by my house. This might be it with ice fishing for a while...

After checking some places this weekend and seeing the upcoming forecast, it ain't looking very promising for some areas in PA. Might have to travel this year for some ice fishing. I have to remember next year not to buy any new stuff until we have some hardwater to use.

got out on private water sunday managed a few fish got soaked from constant rain but was nice to be walking on water to bad it looks like it be the last time for now tight lines

9 more eyes the other day what a blast they turned on and it was non stop till I ran out of bait...its mighty cold tonight hopefully temps stay cold and it will make ice once again. This time for good hahah ready for it..

Commenting on the caption "First Ice" I am a safety fanatic so remember first ice could be your last ice all in the same day. Use your head when going on first ice (or any ice) go with a buddy or spud your way but use your head. Already been 2 people (2 too many) through the ice this year and it is only December. Good fishing and tight lines.
