My buddy, Tomahawker, would be called "Dances in Shanty".  Funny story... Saturday at Black Mo, while jiggin quietly in his genz pro shanty, his buddy heater burst into flames. In a panic trying to escape he fumbled to unzip his door while shouting like a girl.  I threw back my cover to see his fish trap shaking frantically with him emerging through the door running like his @ss was on fire. I guess the simple humor was all the effort and gross motor skills that it takes to unzip a door when one is under distress.  we all know there is a much more effective way to exit a fish trap! ;D  p.s. dont worry the fire didnt damage the ice or harm any fish!

Everything is ok, surprisingly.I think the traps have some sorta flame retardand sprayed on inside because the propane bottle was spraying out torch like flame and it did not even make a mark on his cover. He was lucky him or his trap were not hurt.And then we couldnt get a laugh at Tomahawkers expense.For us that know him, will forever be entertained! ;D

He swears he had the tank screwed on tight...but i would have to disagree.  somehow the tank began to leak and well poof.  It was not a buddy heater issue. He used the thing the rest of the day and sunday too.  You dont wanna really torque the bottle on bc the part it screws to is aluminum and could strip out but do make sure it is nice and snug!

Down here in Northumberland / Sunbury ,the school district is Shikellamy. If  I got this right Old Chief Shikellamy was an icefisher also and that's how he got his name. Came off the ice late once too often and his squaw got the tom ma hawk after him, as he was running away its said he yelled   SHE KILLA ME  :icefish:
