Navionics app
« on: Jan 30, 2016, 07:11 PM »
I just bought this last weekend for my Android. Still learning the ins and outs. So far, love the topo maps, features noted for a body of water, marking spots, gps functions.
For those that use this product, what features do you particularly like? Any tips to share?

I like the function that people forget to turn off so that they publicly share all of their fishing spots. No job is a function on there that allows you to share marks with everybody that has the program and some people forget to turn it off. ;D
Dont ask

Do you need to be in cell service for the app to work?

If you load the map ahead of time, no. After that, it uses gps on the phone which doesn't require cell service.

F.Y.I....   I've found some of the HD lakes be very accurate and others not even close.

The only downside to the app is that the depth is not always accurate due to water level changes. Ive noticed some spots on canyon ferry this year that have been about 9 ft difference.

You can go into the App Settings and adjust the water level in the Map Options settings
