Spinner Blades On Hooks?
« on: Jan 04, 2011, 11:59 PM »
I have seen that some of you all attach a spinner blade and some beads to your hooks. How do you go about doing this? I can't seen to figure a way to do this with the pre-made steel leaders.
                                                 Thanks

Make a small cut on an angle from the outside of the spinner blade to the hole.
Slowly bend the piece so that you can slip it over the wire, then bend back.

It may fall off if you catch a fish, but blades are cheap.

You could also cut the end off of the leader and slide the stuff on before re-crimping the wire shut.

Most arnt regular leaders.  Alot of them are home made and crimped after the beads/blades are put on.

I use flouro leaders...tie a hook on the bottom, then a few beads and the spoon and a barrel swivel on the other end
