THE ONE THING YOU WANT TO DO IN THE 2008 SEASON

There are so many thing i want to do this season but i think my goal is going to be to fish as many tournaments as i can and i also hope to meet a few fellow IS members as well. OK  lets hear what you all have for plans this yr.

I'm not from Maine - but hey! - ND Board is kinda dead so i'll intrude. My goal this 2008 Ice season is to pull an 8+ lb walleye from the depths - and to win the states largest ice derby. High hopes - but high rewards for the derby! (2008 Quad Cab F-250)

NO MORE TOURNEY FISHING! sort of takes away the fun for me when it becomes competitive. Concentrate on big touge and salmon. Try new waters. More fishing with friends. Last year was my first year on the shanty. Met Red, Frozen Nutts, Kimball, dirk and a few others.  If the rest are as fun to fish with as the afore mentioned I Want to meet the rest of ya!

1) I would like to catch my first salmon and my first togue. Been icefishing 4 years now and never got one!

2) I'd also like to figure out how to fish the larger lakes where these species predominate without a 4 wheeler or snow mobile. I don't have either!

3) Finally, and probably most important to me; I'd like to get my brother into some of the above species when he comes to visit from Philly in February. He's been coming up every winter to fish, but I've only been able to get him into the warmwater species. He'd love to get into some salmon or trout. (he reminds me every season of this actually)

Hopefully this is the season! It would be good come April to bring this post up again in retrospect and see how we all made out...

My goal this year is to get as many IS members to the Boysen Ice Derby and catch a 10+ pound walleye threw the ice

First I'd like to fish more lakes....ones I havn't been on yet.  I'd also like to catch a Salmon thru the ice. I have been Ice Fishing my whole life and have never caught one thru the ice.  Lastly, I'd like to win that portable ice shack at the Second Annual Ice Shanty Banquete.  If they have one this year.

The one thing I wanna do in 08 would be to get out on the ice in the dark AM, set a Tip-Up for gators, and just sit on my bucket with 1# test catching a limit of big fat gills, and then continue to sit while reflecting upon the past summer/fall. To just look out across the great expanse of frozen water, so peacefull and unmolested. To let the wind bnite at my cheeks, and to feel my finger tips turning numb from unhooking fish in the cold. To hear the harsh wind whipping around me and my bucket, all alone in solitude with no worries. To ice fish, once again!!

1) land a 15lb + touge
2)spend every weekend on the ice that i can
3)fish as many tournys as i can
4)be on the ice again by december 12                         :)done december 8th

You get that dose daily anytime you look out your back window or venture up the mountain, but out here, ice is the prime time for reflection.

Somehow pass all my classes while I spend every spare moment on the ice    and catching a couple fish here and there wouldn't hurt my feelings either.  good fishing

Well last year was my first ice season, started late as it was and I spent half of the remainder of the season getting geared up to fish.  Started out with a couple tipups, a bait bucket and a skimmer.  Took a while but I expanded my gear from there and except for a flasher and a portable, I have everything that I need    I guess I have more than one thing I want to do this next season but here are my top goals.

Fish more places - learn more lakes and ponds. 
Hit the ice with Jim of course and more good friends like those that I met last year.  slt, SLH, Cliff, Luke, Kimball and Zane    Can't forget captain poopypants either!  Can't wait to fish with more of you!  (Tiny...    )

And my last goal I guess would be to catch more fish!
