Drove around the lake the other day, ice did not look very safe in south end, around Snake Hill, or north of the hill.  No one out there.  There were a couple of small groups off Fitch Road, some were only out 50 feet or so, very shallow there.  There were two different groups way out, probably on the edge of the dropoff, thought they might be taking some risks that far out, ice did not look good to me.  North end had no one, ice really looked bad around the bridge, some open water at the marina.  Better to wait than to go for a very cold dip.

Fished off Fitch Road on Thursday, beautiful sunny day.   Ice was about 4 inches and very slippery, you need creepers.  Had 4 flags, one pickerel but nothing on jig in 8 feet of water.  With the rain and higher temps, I would wait for colder temps before going out there again, I like 6 inches of ice or better to feel completely safe.

The ice is holding, although I tell anyone, be careful and go with a buddy. The weather will be in our favor this week and the next few follwing. There were 4 guys out off fitch this afternoon around 2 o'clock. Last week I had 4 - 5 inches of nice solid ice, caught a perch but was only out for 20 min to check the ice. gearin up to head out next weekend for sure.

Fished there off Di donna's three four times last winter with two others. Fair nimber of perch no pike by us or others fishing. I would think mannings cove would be much better for pike.

Craig, My buddy has been fishing it every couple days. Only has been catching a few perch and small sunfish. It's been slow for him. I may be out there tomorrow.  If you do go bring snickles.

8-9 inches of snake hill.  2 small perch on tip ups and about 18 bottle bass.
