Taz is this a real question?  I've seen some pretty strange baits, but smoked whitefish?  I have witnessed Hot dogs, canned salmon, blackberrys,  boiled eggs, etc.... would rather eat the smoked whitefish! ;D

I think I would rather eat it as well.  I once sampled a buddies smoked whitefish.  Was just like eating jerky.  Was awesome.  Planning on doing some myself this winter.

smoked whitefish is the best!  Why would you waste it as bait?  And, I wouldn't expect it to work too well either, it would fall apart.

Whitefish tastes good smoked, but it is a hell of an ugly fish when brought up through the hole.

Wouldn't use it for bait, it is way too good to eat. There is a place right on the way to my perch lake in Tawas, MI  (Lixie's smokehouse) that makes the BEST smoked whitefish. It has been my "good luck" charm for a long time. They also make an incredible cajun smoked whitefish sausage....warm a chunk over the heater with a cold beer....hard water under your feet.....C'mon ICE!!!

Really? Ran out of questions?
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an  well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, A fishing pole in one hand, beer in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming \"WOO HOO, what a ride!
