what makes my auger tick
« on: Feb 14, 2010, 03:10 PM »
hi all, I just got a power auger and realized that I'm fascinated in it, how it works and such, I'm young and don't really know any thing about engines, except in 4 strokes the gas and oil go it 2 seperate places ::), and I'd just like to know any informaton on how it runs, for example, what is this needle thing that I hear about on other posts, whats the carberator, what happens when I flood it, what does the transmissinon do, is that the thing with the 40:1 ratio, why does the spark plug go bad, or any thing else that I've probably never heard of, and please, If you don't feel like typing a super long post than don't do it for my sake, I was just hoping to gain some knowledge and have a section for others to look at in the future,(p.s., I'd like to look at it myself but if I even turn a screw on it I'm sure it's going to get it so out of wack that no one could fix it)
give me 5 good reasons to head home and I'll pretend to consider it.
