Need some help? Arctic Cat Bearcat 660 Turbo
« on: Jan 20, 2012, 07:22 PM »
First off I stumbled on this forum at work and havn't stopped reading for days. Great site awesome information. Need some help. Does anyone have some first hand experience with the turbo 660. Reliability etc... I am dead set on buying a bearcat and I am 90% sure I want a fourstroke 660 turbo. But I am still tossing around the 570 two stroke. Help!

If the 570 is air cooled I'd go that route for ice fishing.

4 strokes are a lot heavier than the 2 stroke.....slush on lakes make for a PIA for them..
This winter have heard of many blown motors from people running on lakes with no snow....With cooling systems in the tunnel, you need something to keep them from over heating.....Air cooled is the best....

If I were buying a sled mainly for ice fishing, I would without a single doubt get a fan cooled sled. It would be the only absolute requirement.

I added reverse and electric start with an aux pull rope to my criteria. Very happy with my choice. Plan on spending at least $300+ on scratchers and studs if they don't come on it.

Buddy has a four stroke. At -30 sitting out all night it wont start. Just pull start it oh yeah NO PULL start on the fourstrokes...If your battery dies so do you.
