2019/2020 Online Tourney?

I know the tourney didn’t happen last year — any info on this season?  Just curious...it really is a lot of fun during ice season!

Or it's midnight back East and everyone is getting up in 5 hours to go fishing

Bigassbasssman this is just my humble opinion but do not think there will be a contest this year. Member Lone Wolf ran the online tourney for years and gave it up last year. Until someone else volunteers to run it there will be no tourney. also probably to late to contact Ice shanty's various sponsors and get prizes for the tourney. Once again this is just my humble opinion and not posted to start a big debate.

I always looked forward to the tourny also. Doubt I would ever catch a fish big enough to enter. I always enjoyed the shorts area & actually won a few prizes.

Lone wolf did an outstanding job of running it. I had considered  running it . But Dont think I have the computer savy to be able to to measure the fish & keep up with all the entries.

I wonder if they would need volunteers to help run it?  It might be more doable if each fish category had a person to do the "measurement" and certification.  I wouldn't mind doing one of the categories that I would never submit a fish for...like trout, salmon, etc.

I can't imagine it's all about the lack of prizes anyway.  Even if the sponsors don't provide as many things as years past, it still would be fun.

Ill be honest the tournament was cool but the guys that get on the ice in November had the upper hand on guys like me that still dont have ice around and probably wont until January.

Good point, we get more pre-fishing time!      The tourney always started Jan 1st, though -- right?

hmm dont remember.but a few seasons i didnt get on the ice until jan 10th and done on feb 16th.odds are not in my favor. lol,guess i need to move to a better icefishing state.michigan has good fishing but theres been quite a few bunk winters lately.

Anybody use the fish donkey app?  Just seen it.  Didn't know if it would be a way to do the tourney
