Twin Beach

Tried some new turf today... Twin produced a couple of nice Burbot, one master, but the perch were smaller and not near as hungry as those Delta cousins. Had a buddy and his 3.5 yr old grandson out, it was an awesome day. The little guy was quite enertaining and the burbot made the day. Unfortunately, a huge burbot was left by previous anglers... >:(

Fished straight out from the main road about a mile, small jigs green and chartreuse with salties.
If you want perch I recommend Delta...

Great report. I agree on Delta being the hot spot right now! I think St. Ambroise would be worth exploring however. If I only had a snow machine. Hey trophy want to sell yours. Even trade for an aqua-view ::) ::)
Enjoy life now!!!! Get on the Hardwater before it melts away!!!

Good job Duramax.  Nice fish.

Ack...I'm running out of weekends for non-trout ice fishing...arrgghh.

Duramax:

Nice Burbot!  It'll make some fine eating.   How were the numbers of perch? Were you able to drive out on the ice?  Time's ticking on the regular season until trout only.  I'll be in touch ;)

Thx guys...Stick with Delta as walking out is much easier and fishin is better...

The tullibee were thick just under the ice, you could see the reflection when the schools moves in and the sun was shining, with all the windows closed in the shack. As many as four at a time in 8" hole adds up to one hell of a pile of tullibee.

Thane let me know if you have a day to get out, probably pike hunting on the long weekend and some Red trips.
I could be convinced to do a perch run to Delta... it was awesome tablefare hot butter and yum yum...

Yeah BI it's too bad that we are on opposite shift patterns, maybe we can hook-up when one of us is on holidays. As for changing shifts, not likely for me...

Good Luck out at Delta.
