Anyone use the Flu Flu jig?
« on: Dec 15, 2008, 11:47 AM »
I picked up a couple flu flu jigs this weekend. Anyone use them and if so what kind of success have you had?

always heard they are a pretty good crappie jig, all year long.
Fisherman's Prayer

And when it comes to my last cast,

When in the Lord's great landing net

The Flu Flu jigs is at the top of my go to jigs for crappies and bluegills.  The red hook series has a little larger hook than the standard jigs in the 1/32 and 1/64 oz sizes.  Works a little better for hook set on the larger crappies.

I always have a few of them on me, they are a nice little jig great motion in the water. I tip them with gulp waxies or a nuggie.

Ive never used them through the ice but open water ive caught just about everything on them. I pitch them on my ultralight. A lot of guys use pink or orange ones for steelhead here in MI.

I caught a fish once!

never used the flu flu jig, but i do use Rufus Jr.'s.  almost the same thing.  not much luck through the ice, but ice out on perch and crappies they are unmatched.  it's a fun way to mess with the people who spent the money of fatheads and aren't catching anything.
