Where is everyone???

I'm still in down south here, seem to be all alone on the ice....wondering if I am the only one left fishing in York County???  Ice-wise, there is still good ice on many of the small ponds.  The shore ice is gone in many places, but nothing that a 16 foot plank, or the canoe can't handle....anyone left out there??

I'm going to check the ice on my way home this afternoon, and that will determine if I'm going to go on Saturday, or if I'm going to have to call in sick tomorrow. (cough,cough)

It's been a long week waiting for one last shot at the ice . And it's been brighter and warmer than expected. 50 in Augusta right now.  I'll check a few spots on the way home tomorrow.  I may end up fishing open water this weekend if the ice doesn't look decent.

Well I checked the ice on the West side of Range this afternoon, and what little ice is left is rotten and definitely unsafe.  So it looks like I'm done for the season, but at least I had a good last day on Saturday.    Will see everyone next wintah!  Thanks to the mods here at IS who did a fantastic job of hosting!!!

4 feet of ice. That's a luxury.  Enjoy it!  I just got back an hour ago from checking the ice on Maranacook at the Readfield end.  Probably not the brightest to be strolling around at dusk out there, but it was the best time for me to check.  All's well still.  Some obvious open water at some shore spots, but still plenty of shots to get on.  Looks good to go for the weekend.

I wonder how much rain we're going to get saturday? You might know, bluebird days all week and when the weekend gets here it gets crappie. Maybe the fish will bite better.

I'm hoping the ice goes out on a little pond that's not open to fishing in the winter, but it's chaulk full of fish...checked it sunday and it's still buttoned right up..
