« on: Feb 01, 2012, 11:57 PM »
Any of you fellas gonna be at Rest lake on Feb 18? This warm weather down here has completely destroyed all of our safe ice so a couple buddies & I are coming  for the event up there ;D It'll be my first time fishing the hard water up there so I'm pretty fired up about it. Hope to see some of you guys out there :)

And probably for good reason. Mainly if they report good fishing, then the lake gets hit hard from people as far south as Illinois. Your best chance for fishing information is maybe find a bait shop in that area and try calling them.

I'm orginally from Vilas County...spent almost 20 years there...and I can tell you that probably won't work either. A good bait shop, in my opinion up there, will either tell you they don't have any idea or they will flat out lie to you and lead you in the wrong direction. If you want to be put on fish, hire a guide.
