Since ice out I have not been on all that much, with the high heat and humidity the more I miss winter and start checking out the shanty more and more.

I work at a golf course part time during the summer since retiring and everyone thinks I'm crazy when I say "Can't wait for first ice!"  I try and check in a couple times a week but for sure on weekends when I'm sitting around in the morning having that first cup and looking for some "special buys" on the Internet.  Tried MFF but it doesn't do it for me. NOT AS MUCH EXCITEMENT ;D

It's in the mid 90's today and humid.  I just checked in hoping this would cool me off; getting anxious...
:(  Whew, I hate this heat.

I check in on occassion just to see how many are here. Never found it empty yet. Just had to have the worms turned in this computer and checked in to find out I wasn't logged in. Had trouble doing so too. It was a bad feeling I hope none of you ever have to experience. Only lasted a couple hours thankfuly. To think it is only mid July and experience such despair.........olds

Likewise, never really stop checking. Just not as often as during the winter season. It won't be long. After July it seems we're on the downhill side to hard water! And as extremely hot and humid it has been in our area I'm predicting an early ice season! Amen.

Hi waterbeater. I was wondering how icefishermen could stand the west river heat.
Every plastics manufacturer claims plastics outfish livebait. So now I use livebait just for the increased challenge.
