How many varieties of eggs do you have on hand
« on: Sep 19, 2016, 07:52 AM »
Every fall I stock up on eggs my preferred are the pink garlic and red big boy eggs. I always buy at least 6-8 jars of a combination of eggs including the above. Probably over kill but that's what I do. I've still got eggs left from last season that still look perfectly fine. Anyone else carry a half a dozen varieties out with them?

Never fish with eggs for some reason. I usually have a jar of the Red Big Boy eggs in my tackle box, but don't fish with them much for some reason.
Quote- fishslap: I use a variety:  whistlin' bungholes, spleen splitters, whisker biscuits, honkey lighters, hoosker doos, hoosker don'ts, cherry bombs, nipsy daisers, with or without the scooter stick, or one single whistlin' kitty chaser

I usually always have about a dozen jars or so at home during the season. (Usually about 6 jars with Me if the egg bite turns on?)

I'll fish my two lines with smelt and egg the shallows. I won't switch over until I see activity on the eggs.

Red Big Boys and Pautzkes depending on the location are My preference.

As for the grade a whites the other guys mentioned? The wife and I are regularly at the gym and eat pretty clean a majority of the time. We go through about 4 dozen a week. Lol

Generally three for me - orange, red & chartreuse Big Boys. Different light different color. Sometimes a fourth of Pautskes Fireballs.

You guys are slipping.   It must be the heat.   Open the freezer and take deep breaths.

fall turnover of the lakes is coming soon. seems like we are back in a more "normal" fall weather pattern. perhaps this will continue and lead to decent early ice. I'd like to see more rain prior to freeze up. except for some pittsburg trips. I've curtailed my fishing due to the poor water conditions. I don't like fishing in a barrel. seems like poor sportsmanship to me
