I am not sure about the regulations about posting a picture of your Master Angler Beard....but it accents the Crappie quite well.

D
I spend way too much time and money fishing, and every dollar is worth it!!!

-Start a reply post here by writing what you want to say, then open a second web browser window and sign into photobucket.
-Left click on the bottom line in the drop down list (where it starts with IMG) under the pic you want to link to in photo bucket, it'll turn blue and copy it .
-Then go back to your first browser window with your Ice Shanty post, and paste it into the text box there, (by left clicking where you want it to go, and then right clicking for a drop down box and then left clicking on paste) in the post you're writing.

Rite On BUNK. Nice to see it finally worken in Minnie.  Just go the Master angler award book in the mail today. Minnie has had alot of records last year. so the fish are still there judging by how many were ""releasd"". I may have to make my way down to the lake and  forget about the tip-ups. Nice waether this weekend to be on red and Minnie to bad i was stuck in a Hotel wishing and dreaming of the lake.

Well if you are having good luck there Bunk then i will just have to keep trying. Are you just using a small jig, live minnow on a slip bobber to catch that beasts that you have in those pics. Me and a buddy are planning on going either wednesday or thursday around 4pm so I will have to see what happens. Thanks

can't get the begger's to bite live bait.i have some really small minnows, but there has been no takers,
i have been fishing in 25-30 feet of water, about 7-10 feet off of the bottom.very small jig tipped with GULP waxxies.
a spring bobber & flasher have made all the diffrence for me.caught almost all of my fish between 3-6pm.

(bunk)

yeah i got a spot on lac du bonnet...usually we hit those all day long...the 6-8 inch.....but i found a night time spot where all it seems to produce is MA little rockies..which i cant complain...next year ill be a specialist in 2 species  ;D ;D...

but keep up tha good work...i know we didnt catch it close to minnawasta...but i thought it was kind of crappie related...

anyways...best of luck to you in the future

Thanks for the tips Bunk. Me and a buddy are going out tomorrow afternoon so hopefully we run into a real hungry school of crappies, we only have a hand auger so they better be there. Don't want to drill more holes then we have to. Maybe I will see you out there one day Bunk. Thanks again

Hey Bunk thanks again for drilling those holes for us the other day. Me and my buddy had lots of bites once we moved about 150yards north of where we all were. I had one on and I was reeling it in until the fish wrapped around my buddies line, took the tension off and I lost him. We were in a shack and the holes were 1.5 feet apart maybe so that's how that happened. I am thinking of maybe going tomorrow, see what happens.

Wow thats a pretty decent crappie. Were they biting lost today or just the one you got. Where abouts were you on the lake. Good to hear that they are still biting.

I am the red shack near the Dam. I had one other bite but lost him. I showed maybe 20 fish all day. A few times the flasher showed fish checking out both my jigs at the same time. I just cant keep them interested enough to take them.
