« on: Dec 15, 2008, 04:44 PM »
Is it me of deos it seem that as soon as you buy you waxies from the baitshop they begin to cocoon and die on you. What can I do to prevent this?

Keep them at 50 degrees and you should be good to go.

If they are cacooning right from the bait shop, then the bait shop is selling you waxworms that have not been set dormant.  Waxworms will not cacoon if they have been set dormant properly.  Refrigerate at 50 degrees and that should slow them down but not completely stop it.
Fisherman's Prayer
I pray that I may live to fish
          Until my dying day.
And when it comes to my last cast,
       I then most humbly pray:
When in the Lord's great landing net
           And peacefully asleep,
That in His mercy I be Judged
              BIG ENOUGH TO KEEP.
