We need help naming our new pup. Female lab / redtick hound. She looks like a lab, barks like a hound.

My buddy breeds those and he calls them Lounds......you can use them for retrieving and running coyotes or bear.....the best of both worlds......

my grandfather always said a dogs name should have a hard consonent in it.
so when you call them, or yell at them, the sound carries across the wind and has authority to it, sounds like a command, not a question.
like,
"rex", not "ralph"
"betty", not "beth"
"nancy", not "nanny"
"bart", not "homer"
you get the idea.

is your mother-in-law's name "helga"?
