how does everyone keep their fish, if your out all day?

I toss my gills in a pale with snow inside of it so they stay cold and dont freeze. Also I use the snow so they dont get all slimy and they are easier to clean later. Hope this helps.

I hate filleting frozen fish.  I drill a hole just barely to the bottom of the ice so it fills up with water but isnt big enough for the fish to get out.  It fills up with water and keeps them lively till you wanna take the knife to them.

For pike and walleyes, I put them on a plastic coated steel stringer.  Panfish, go in a bucket in the tent to keep from freezing.  I hate filleting frozen fish or waiting for them to thaw.

I start by keeping them next to the hash browns and beans then later transfer to my stomach...

I use an old cooler that I keep my vex and tackle box in while moving around with a thin piece of plywood that seperates the fish from the gear.  After setting up, I put some water in the cooler and drain and add as necessary to keep the fish alive and fresh for as long as possible before packing up to leave the ice.   Then just drain the water and add some snow and ice for the ride home.  Works out pretty good.  But I think I like Gibsons' method alot too.

if it's really cold  in the sled they go. otherwise on the ice or in a bucket....

I usually just use a bucket filled with snow, but I just checked out the ice well and might pick one of those up soon.
