HAS ANY BODY HEARD OF THE SEA SMELTS RUNNING IN THE BROOKS YET
WOULD LIKE TO HAVE SOME FOR THE FIRST OF THE YEAR

When you do find them remeber there is a limit on them after the 15th of March. Dont know what it is, never really payed to much attention to it ;D ;D but somebody will. :callcops: :callcops:

They start running around the last week in April in the Bagaduce River in Castine. 1st week in May Surry and Ellworth area and a week later in Franklin, Hogs Bay. Could be a hard year with all the snow melt on the rivers.

This limit is fresh water dont know what salt water is. Used to be all you could lug. ;D ;D

I know what the fresh water limit is but dont dip in brackish or salt water so dont know what the limit is. There used to be no limit back in the day and they changed it a few years back but where I dont do it I dont keep up on it!!!!

Thanks for the info. When you don't do something you dont tend to know the rules.I know they changed the rules a few years back.
