What material did you use to implement such a fine piece of machinery?

Looks like a hammer and a pry bar were in demand on that project. ;D

Put a frisbee(or 9"pie tin) between the auger and auger attaching bolt. Maybe couple of fenderwashers. Might save a heartache.
But it looks like a nice option, I just got a new 24v for Christmas and was thinking of same.  Did you buy the adapter or make it and if so, how?

I found a piece of old 1/2" (or what fit in my auger bit) pipe an then an allen wrench that would fit almost perfect into the pipe and welded it in (the drill is a mikita 18V 1/2" chuck...I figured it might work).  All you have to do then is drill a 1/4" hole in the pipe to accept the strikemaster mora auger set skrew! :)

P.S.  A 1/2 drill motor does not have the power of a gear reduced gas auger.  Let the drill do the work.
I've drilled 16 holes though 12" of clear ice on one batt ;D

How fast is it, compared to a manual auger, and then compared to a gas power auger?

Seems like a very efficient set up if one already has a drill available  :afro:
