Whec news reports that an RGE vehicle was crossing the ice wen it went through with 2 persons aboard. It took 12 fire rescue personnel 2 hours to get them out. No other details were available.

whec-tv reported two RG&E employees were headed out to some island across the bay to do some repair work.  Apparently the truck went through the ice but is supposed to float.  They didn't report if they set out any tip ups though.  By the way it is only the state and county employees that take the work trucks ice fishing on there coffee breaks, everybody know that!!!

They do this about every year, it was an amphibious vehicle, the workers didn't get wet, just that this particular vehicle doesn't fly so they couldn't get it back on the ice after it broke through. I would believe it's time for a amphibious helicopter  ;D ;D ;D ;)
