Sorry we miss you, Mainehazmt.
We took both vehicles each day and parked/unloaded at the Sportsman Bar/ Restaurant.
Vehicles/ us, were at Cozy Cabins in the evenings. We really love the area. Everyone is so nice. Going to try to make our next trip, open water.

Parking is free to those who spend money at the bar/restaurant.

Trucks with trailers loaded with snowmobiles is a different story. I would rather not have a broken trailer to go home with 4 to 6 hours late due to repairs. ;D ;D Been there done that I go slower now. ;D

The best I have done was 4 and a half from st agatha to waterville. The first hour was all snow. It ussually takes me 5 to augusta with a couple stops. 280 miles give or take. The worst part is the three tanks of gas. >:(

When she checked us we were close to shore and was afraid someone might be able to tell exactly where we were.  Then OUR spot would be fished out. So , naturally we didn't take one. :)

First of all, if you bought anything at the Sporting Club, you payed more than enough to park there!

Secondly, I'm pretty sure I can tell where you were fishing and that is where we always used to troll the few times that I fished it. Nice haul of fish, hope it made the trip worth it for you guys.

Making a trip like that with great people is priceless and the fish are bonus. A fishing trip to me are always worth it cause you never know when your last day is going to be. Fishing is much more enjoyable than working! ;D ;D ;D ;D

Definitely, and I can't think of a better area to visit. My parents are originally from the area and it's always a great time when I get to go up. I was fortunate enough you grow up spending my summers and school vacations up there and practically lived at the family camp in Square Lake all summer long. I think I may be planning an Easter/snowmobiling trip in a few weeks, I'm just bummed the fishing will be closed.

I do know how to fish but am forced to work to pay bills and them to make enough to go fishing. ;D ;D ;D ;D That's the truth to the situation. ;)

The spot where you were standing had 5 shacks and about 300 tip-ups per day  opening week.  Not exactly a remote location.

I'm just here to read what all the experts have to say.

That's what we thought, JDK.
Did you have any luck up there this year?
