It seems like ever year a certain lure is the "go to lure" the one that puts fish in the bucket.In the past I've had results on Ratso's fished clean,Ratfinkee's tipped with 2 spikes,Frosty spoons w/t boned waxy,and Forage minnows w/T boned waxy, Genz bugs,Demons,Jammin Jigs, and the list goes on and on.You get point there alot of great jigging lures but the lure that impressed me the most this year was hands down the GILL PILL.That little bugger caught every thing that swam,I pounded huge bull gills,keeper crappies,several of bass,jumbo perch,and lost a 40 plus pike on it. Lets here it for your favorite panfish lure this year,The firetiger GILL PILL gets my vote this year.

Hands down my vote goes to the Flirty Girty !!!! Absolutely light out!!! I just ran into this year, I may throw way the rest of my jigs in Vex. box and buy more Flirty Girties. As you can tell, I was very impressed!!!

Capt....I'm with you bro....same lure and same color also!!

I caught almost everything in the water with them. Perch, Gills, LMB, trout, Crappie and even a couple of pickeral. I will be buying more for next season for sure....my new favorite!

Have you tried the balck ones yet....I have some but has too damn much confidence in the FT color to dare switch! LOL

If you have so much confidence in it, then why bother switching. For lakers its still going to be a swedishpimple. For anything else, I would say a marmasooka.

Duckdiggler,I bought two pack of each color they made,but never got to try any but the firetiger,I found the last 4 packs of firetiger at G.M. and snuffed them up last week.Yesterday it was 68 degrees and I was sitting on 7 inches on ice and pounded Bulls and Slabs and today with all the rain its done,very short season this year.

Fire-Tiger Gill Pill here as well during the day. Marmish Maggot in Dk Green or Brown did nicely in the weeds on many a trip.

Pimple worked for just about anything but the demon jig tipped with a minnow head absolutly killed the perch.

Haven't gotten any yet but have seen the results first hand and I'd have to say the Gill Pill has to be the best new lure for the year.

My old standby Demon still produced well this year, Moon jigs, the Fat Boy, Hali MiniPori, and Fiska Wolframs got a lot of work this year also. Used the "Pill" a few times it caught fish but just didn't produce for me like the others at the time. To be honest I didn't give it a good chance as I was catching fish on the others.

I did real good the past couple outings on my own home brew hand tied ice fly!! Hammered em on it, next to that would have to be the new Tungsten jigs in size 12, with orange head and black eyes, or a white head with chartreuse eyes. And cant leave out the marmooskas either!

SLAY,I used 12 and 14's.I bought almost all the colors they made but just used the firetiger,never wanted to take it off,they worked very well on big bulls,crappie,and L.M. bass.

I with Capt on this one #12 and #14....I prefer the 12s because I can "feel" them better on my 2lb test line and I can run them better in deeper water. But I have had a couple of instances this year wher ethe #14 was the better choice. DD

I vote for the Salmo Chubby Darter. It is my new favorite walleye jig. I caught perch, walleye, bass and gills on the size 3 perch. Add a little smelly jelly and drop it in the hole and hang on.
