tip up making

well im new here and i was wondering if there was a way to sortof replicate a heritage laker tip up.
 I always like to build my own stuff so any ideas would be appreciated.

its funny to see this post because i am actually in the process of making my own low boy tip-ups. i had some old ones not in use anymore and decided to borrow the shafts and put them on some new ones i am making out of some nice oak stock i had lying around. there gonna be pretty cool and definitely one of a kinds.ice is nice
