first laker thru the ice...NOPE!!!

fished sixberry today...3rd time out for lakers...skunked the first 2 times. fished all day, my buddy got 1 small one. decided to pack it up...had 2 tip ups left in the water...FLAG UP!!!!    i set the hook....its a good one, it burns out 100ft of line, once, twice, then a third time...all 3 times had fish up to my 5ft. flouro leader...after the 4th run i was just about to grab the swivel to the leader...limp........m y knot slipped . that is going to haunt me!!!!

that's harsh, ive been making all of my own leaders and i constantly wonder if mt knots/crimps are going to hold. unfortunately havent hooked into one big enough to find out yet.

bummer! i make sure of all my knots, and i still have one go once in a while.

Yup been there also! and like they say the biggest fish you  almost got was lost at the hole.

I also tied a bad one. saturday I was moving a tipup from 1 hole to another, put the sounder on and lost it along with my treble and bait down the hole. guess thats better than losing a fish but still a bummer.
