Zack Shack or similar drop downs
« on: Jan 23, 2008, 06:00 PM »
Anyone have a Zack shack that could post close up pictures of the axle set up and maybe some rough dimensions, I wanna make my own but I'm not a fan of the "winch style" drop downs. any other drop downs out there that use leverage rather than winches?

http://www.zachmeiermfg.com/fishhouse.html  You should be able to get some measurements from their website. They don't have a very good picture of their axle system, but they are like the ones that use a winch but just have a long bar where most of them have a leaf spring. Just pull it down and pin it. They also only weigh about 800 lbs. I almost bought a 6'x10'. but I needed a bunk that is over 5'6" long. Hope this helps ya a bit.  The one I bought is 6 1/2'x12', weighs 1520 lbs and uses the winch system.
It seems to go from zero to hero all some have to do is lie.
