What do you guys think about the Aqua-Vu Quad 4x4, anyone here have any experance with it? Do you think its worth the extra money?
I just bought the quad 4 and noted in the manual that battery life is 4 hrs. Not thrilled bout that. Time will tell. I would have bought the color Marcum unit if they had a compatable DVR reader.
never used the quad 360, but how do you tell which of the 4 quadrants in pointing which way?
Definetly would be a bonus.. I spend more time spinnin that d**n camera around!! Still fun though!! A buddy of mine bought one and had major leaking problems with his3 different camera's SAME Problem... My Scout has been flawless for what i need it to do
I looked on ebay, and found a 2007-2008 New in Box "Aqua Cam" w/ 2 batteries for $130 +S&H. Is Aqua Cam anygood? All I hear about is Aqua-Vu. I am sure there are allot of spin off underwater cameras that are good.
musky8it, I have one of them. I got mine from my brother for xmas last year and just love it. Though I did have a leaking problem with mine.
thats cool you got all the fish you showed on the cam
They had them all last winter at our local Menards but they decieded not ot carry them anymore and that is when my father went and got his for $75. I would call and ask. IT would save ya trip or make a trip for ya.
Time to update this thread. I've had two opportunities to try out this cam, and it works great. I was out today and I took a few pics of the monitor with my regular camera. This will give you an idea on how the Aqua Cam works, and this lake isn't the clearest of lakes:
Last5oh, I sent you this message incase you don't see this post.Wowww, nice pics but it looks like the water is pretty clear compared to the lake I mainly fish here in Indiana. Trying to get a feel if the camera can see past a humans visibilty. So if you can, please reply. What is the visibilty at your lake when you drop your ice jig down. If its the same as on the pics, it looks like your jig would disappear around 5-7 foot. The lake I fish at my ice jigs disappear after about 3-4 feet. So I guess what I am trying to find out, is if the camera can see past a humans visibilty. If not, then I take it this camera wouldn't show past 3-4ft at my lake.
That is until the snow really came down then it was really hard to see anything beyond about 3 ft in the water, but it was a slow day and I had my 11yr old with me and he wanted to go pretty quick.
