This should be about fishing quality/quantity not a shelter house In my opinion.

You are right, but you have to remember they are more concerned with staying warm to talk and be the social butterflies they are.  They will probably sit at the door and greet you good morning, good afternoon, and good evening.

Try this site:  http://thumpitjigs.com/Jigs.html

His glow jigs are down at the bottom of the page.  I've purchased some of his crappie jigs and they are high quality.

All ya need to do is be a member of either iceshanty.com or indianainfo.net and show up and register for which ever team you want to fish for. That's all.

Update:  I belive it has something to do with my IP.  I was able to log on at work yesterday, no problem.

Yep, have an account there.  The error message that I get appears that they have their server down.

This is a standard message when the server is down, either by choice or not.

Just curious.  I don't post over there, just read mostly.

This contest is open to the public. There will be a few forms for everyone to fill out before the contest begins. These are used just in case of an accident or something like that, and we ask that you choose which  team you are fishing for. Indiana Info or Ice Shanty !! Simple as that !  ;)

It's kind of looking like either Winona or Summit. Depends on weather and ice conditions.

I am not sure why Winona keeps coming up.  I have nothing against this lake, but I have never heard of a good mess of gills or crappie coming out of that lake.

The reason Winona keeps coming up is because the Asphalt Kid said that thats where they lost the trophy, and thats where he wants to win it back.
Jimmy wants it at Summit, so we are going to just sit tight for awhile and see if the "Kid" shows up on the site to get his imput.
If he doesn't show up this will most likely happen at Summit. Thats the reason it keeps coming back up. We're just going to give it some time and see what happens.

Every individual is going to have they're own opinion on where the tournament should be held based on past success or other factors. I can surely relate to being a die hard and not worrying about the shelter thing but I can also relate to the convienence of having a shelter for those who wish to warm up or socialize a little. I think that by catoring to all we would certainly be proving that we are a network of anglers that care about all fisherman. With that said, I was only present for the preliminary meeting last year so I will not voice my opinion (although I have one) about location. Maybe neutral ground is an option.
Never tell a fish where its supposed to be
