And not Whitetails either.  Walleye!  The buckshot spoons done their thing again.  Heres the pics.

First - Check the ice.  4.5"  Good to go!

All set.

Here we go.

And again.

Looking like a good walleye night.

Ooh theres another!

And the biggest one to finish off the night!

That one was the biggest around 22-23", All the previous pics were over 18" and went back.

And me with my limit of keepers I caught in between the nicer ones 12-17.5", also threw back one 10 incher.

Not a bad first evening of hardwater walleye fishing for the season. :)

Same question as above... Went to Wholesale sports today to grab some buckshot spoons but all they had were the 1/4oz. Seemed kinda small to me, but never used em before...

Some were caught on a 1/8 oz super-glo perch, and some on a 1/4 orange glow (not sure on their name for it).  Tipped with minnow tails, heads, and walleye eyes.  I like the 1/4 oz, I start with the 1/8 oz up till they really turn on, then switch, the 1/4 oz and bigger seems to work better than the smaller sizes when their active.  I use 3/8 oz occasionally too.

What area of the lake were you fishing?

North End, somewhere in between the power lines and the Togo Bridge.  ;)

Went out again this evening.  Took my cousin to catch a few.  5 keepers, one dink, and one oversize, as well as one pike about 4lbs.

He likes the vex.

And he caught the biggest one!  A chunky 21 incher.

Don't worry, not looking for your hot spot :) just heard that the ice was a little inconsistent on the lake right now. 8)

Yep, the north end is the first to freeze up, therefore thinner ice the farther down the lake you go.

Nice walleyes Master Angler. You and your fishing buddy had a good one. ;D

I also like the buckshot rattlen spoons, the way they are, and as a dropper.
I use them mostly for pike, but the walleye like them also. ;)
