So I blew up the picture and I see a browtine that is over 1" long.  Here in NH that would be a 5 pointer. I bet there is a brow on the other side too that would make it a 6!

Only one browtine.  Measues only 1/2".  I hope your not using that tape measure to measure those fish you ice this year!   ;) ;D

Nope...just other things!  ;)  But if you can hang a ring off of it, it gets counted....so you have been upgraded to a 5pt with the same deer!

Great job man! What a nice looking wall mount that will make!  Story?
So you really want the story.....well its a good one.  I've been hunting the same spot for the last three years, first year in my stand I saw deer over 20 times before I took a nice doe before Veterens Day, didn't see one buck.  Last year I saw only two year from my stand and never got a shot at one.  This year I sat the same stand but kept seeing does and this year I had no doe tag for this zone.  So I started hunting smaller pieces of land in the city of Rockport up behind my duck blind, right on the edge of posted land.  Was seeing more does, but was sitting a nice Buck rub line.  Monday Nov. 19 I sat my stand again in the morning for about an hour.  I decided to try another new spot behind an old restaurant in Rockport wasn't in the woods 10-15 minutes and jumped this nice Buck, shot at him through the bushes and was lucky enough to hit him in the back. Ran for about 80-100 yards.  I had seen him the night before on my road to my house.  The woods space was maybe 5-10 acres if that.  Small CITY hunting.  Man, I still cant believe it. This one is going on the wall.

Not my deer...but I assisted in getting him..and tracking him...
He brought us almost 2miles into a swamp..Then we finally see him and he was head deep into the swamp grass...My buddy Neil had the barrel down on him and then I see where he was aiming..So I took aim too..both of us shot at the same time...I got him through the neck, he drooped right there...it was just before 4 and the sun was going down quick...he gutted it then we started to pull him out....as we were going out we realized that we had a long way to go....Left him over night so we could find our way out of the woods...Finally made it out around 8ish...We went back out around 10am with 2 other guys to help...Brought the wheeler in and had to make my own trail through the woods...Got back to the deer around 1pm..laid him on the wheeler and pulled him home...Then when we brought him to the taggin station we had to have the warden to check the deer over because it was over the 18hr rule...Its all said and done now....It was truly a hunt to remember..One side of his rack was busted off...Would have been a nice 8pt buck...Weighed in at 140lbs...(sure felt like more when we were pulling him out in the dark..

Where did he hit it? If I hit it in the neck and it dropped, why didn't you tag it?

I aimed for the rear and wound up like this:

But the people who hit this hit it broadside and I lost 1/4 of the deer. It had two broken legs as you can see in the pic.  I wish they hit this buck like the doe I got the week before...Did not lose 1 ounce of meat out of her!

Maybe I should be called "Road Kill" instead of "Duck Doctor"

The moose happened in 03. I shot two deer in canada that year as well. Had a power outage and the freezer never came back on.  I lost everything!  :embarassed:

The 2 roadkills are this year. I am fortunate to be a ffr/emt.  when we get called to a car vs deer and know one wants it, it comes home with me!

Missed a small one at about 5 yrds at the beginning of the season. I think he scared me as much as I scared him. Windy day never heard him and never saw him until he was standing there right in front of me. Took a running shot and missed. Hunted up around the allagash over the weekend 2" of ice on one the ponds and 8-12" of snow. Should of brought snowsled would of been fun to hunt from. Be ice fishing in no time.

It happened a few years back July 5, so it was pretty HOT......I gave it to some buddies, only one hind quarter was still good, I mangled the other side pretty good.  $1500 in damage, just put a new nose on, and drove it for 3 more years in college. The old Bronco II took it very well!!

My bonus permit deer. 138 lb doe shot in southern Maine.

Still trying to get my buck. I missed him last friday. Jumped him and took a quick shot. I shot him on camera though

My Illinois hunt resulted in a big doe and this wild pig that my brother shot.

Never argue with an idiot, he will just bring you down to his level and beat you with experience!
