thats kinda cool never seen a sled sittin on the bottom of a lake last year I found an old boat motor with my camera check it out ;) ;)

Silly question but when you pull a machine up is it easier to get it out by pulling it up from the front or the rear.

Silly question but when you pull a machine up is it easier to get it out by pulling it up from the front or the rear.

We pulled by the front skis so we could the skis over the lip of the ice. Pulling by back we would have caught the back end on edge and had to try and reach down into cold water to lift past lip. In this case by skis were much easier on all involved ;)

At the time he was driving on only a few inches. Went out to rescue a youngster whos machine was stuck. The youngster tried to cross a bay that wasn't frozen well. He was taking a short cut as getting behind leader. The old timer went out to help but he was heavier and his sled went under.
