Watervliet Reservoir

Hearing that all fisherpersons being tossed off.      Any reason why?

I know if they park in certain areas they will be told to get off and move the car. Never heard of people getting kicked off but maybe they changed the rules  because its a reservoir. I will check around if I can. Who was kicking people off Guilderland PD, En-con , DEC, or State police

Well that didn't take long at all, but the news is not good.
Guilderland P.D  :callcops:says they are kicking everybody off the res unless you can drill a hole(before they see you doing it) and cast to it from shore.
This is all new to me, I had a few problems 10 or 15 years ago.
But give me a break, what are under threat of terrorist attack again!!

O.K here is the final word on it, I spoke with the head of th DPW and he said NO ICEFISHING.....he was very polite about it and feels bad that they have to enforce this regulation but unfortunately it's par for the course.

They will be closing access to the sportsmans parking lot next week along with two to three walks throughout the res to evict any fisherman and give fair warning.
Read this carefully they will only be posting and warning for a few weeks, after that they will be calling Guilderland police to make arrests!!!
He said that possibly down the road they would like to adopt a system to allow icefisherman to get back on the ice, their but for the time being it's no messing around enforcement.

Unfortunately there are more slobs then good fisherpersons out there and they ruin it every time for the good guy, really sucks!!!

I hear you on that one I finally talked the wife into going on the ice with me and the kids and thats the spot she wanted to go to. I don't know who was more upset me or her?
