Trout trough the ice ?
« on: Feb 12, 2007, 10:31 AM »
What's the best approach for Browns/Rainbows throught the ice ?

I want to hit a local stocked lake by me (Greene Lake) and have never targeted them trough the ice.

Thanks

I never get discouraged, just happy to be able to get out. I have never tried for Trout through the ice, so it will be new to me. I am pretty much a newbie to the ice thing.

I am just north of you in Coxsackie.

o.k. i work in coxsackie over at dynabil.the only place i've done well with the browns through the ice is queechy lake.i usually don't target them, but when i do i fish fairly close to the shorelines, and i only put my lines 8'-10' down.we are going over to otsego on sunday usually do well with the lakers.thats fun.hit the king last week and picked up a couple lakers.do you fish for lakers too?if you wanna go your welcome ,goodluck
