Port Henry Shanty Rentals

Hello does anyone know of any shanty rentals for smelt jigging in Port Henry.  Looking too head up this weekend and do some smelt fishing.  Any information on any local guys renting shanties will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Don
Stop complaining do something about it.

Last year a couple of guys where renting shanties.  Poor Man's Charters and Pete's Shanty Rentals.  I think Pete's # is 518-546-7808.  I'm sure one of these places will be open for business this year.

Mike's shanty rentals port Henry 518-546-7414 or 518-546-7907.It's run by Mike Blaise and Mike Wright
Two of the best guys your going to meet up there.Their shanty's are large ,clean and WARM.They have always put me on fish.You do need to make reservations,They will drive you out ,the shanty will already be heated and they will have the starter bait for you .They will come by during the day to see how you are making out.You let them know what time you want to leave and they will be there to get you off.If your not real sure how to jig Smelt they will give you a quick lesson

jiffy model 30 the only ice auger because the bells and wissles wont  cut ice.

15 inches of black ice, all the shanties are out on silver beach, the hole in Port Henry, and Westport.  Tons of smelt being taken...good luck
