has anyone used the strikemaster with the chipper blades, do they work just as good as the lazer blades or just go with the strikemaster mag 2000 that has to blades

I had the 8 1/4" Mag 2000 with chipper blades for many years. This auger gave me only one problem over probably ten years and that was the recoil. It was simple to change and other than basic maintenance and sharpening the blades every 2-3 years it never failed me.

thanks lonewolf does it take longer to cut a hole with the chipper blade or is it just as fast with the lazer blades. so it would be wise to save some money and by the mag 2000 with the chipperblade. can you change out the auger with different blades.

You're only talking a matter of seconds .. it's a power auger.  One may cut a hole in 5 seconds and the other 8 seconds.  ;D
There could be other differences to consider especially if your on foot ... such as weight.  ;)
