Advice ?

Want to buy one of those hand held sonars for depth. Which one of these two would be the better one. Marcum LX-I or the Polar Vision by Strike King. Already own a flasher. Comments from people who own one of these. Do they really work or are they a pain.  Thanks in advance Hal

 I have a hand held one that i bought at walmart but im not sure of the brand name. It was only 60 something dollars. Its definetly worth having, the whole thing transducer and all will fit in your pocket. It will give you depth and pick up fish as well and runs on AA bateries.

This is a good subject.  My cousin and I put the Polar Vision and the MarCum head to head. 

About the same on good ice - but the Marcum blows the Polar away on thick and cloudy ice. 

I own the Polar so I need to replace mine.  It's first on my list next year.

i had a polar by strike master & it was a piece of gunk. i sent it back & got my money back. walt

How about the vexliar lps-1 Would be between this and the marcum.

I love my marcum...comes in handy when you only have a hand auger...readings are VERY accurate...

I'v had the Summer Vision by Strike Master worked great blew right though the ice ..
i had no problems going though 30" of ice then i picked up a FL8 istill no problems reading though the ice..
