Has any body been fishing around the salamonie I know that somebody was on simpsons yesterday. I only live 1 mile south of the salamonie.

i was out checking the ice yesturday....2" on hominy ridge and 3 inches on dora boat ramp ponds.....weidner21

also do you know how much ice is on simpson?

Good ole Simpson.  I heard a report of 2-3".  But getting on is the hard part.

hey rico how is the ice fishing on simpson?.......how is the crappie fishing there?....i have never fished it before and im not exactly sure where the lake is...i have always heard about it but have never made it there.....what areas are best on simpson and what do you usually get the crappie on there?......thanks weidner21

They could be anywhere.  I was just on the phone with "Willbilly" there are two guys fishing it right now.  Will lives in Warren.  I never, and repeat never caught a crappie there.  But they are in there.  I have seen guys get them.  Simpson is a place where quality is great and quanity is very poor.  It gets hammered through the ice.

those guys on simpson was friends of mine and they caught some but not very big. that was on friday it only had 2" on it then. I went to bear lake on saturday and caught 16 nice gills had 3" there.
