rechecked areas checked yesterday didnt bring any way to make a hole through the ice but it held up to me jumping and walking on it .  I will get a better thickness report later on . I did jump in the same hole i stepped through yesterday and did not break through I only went 10-15 ft off shore because i wasnt all that prepared to soak my leg this morning I will be fishing this weekend...   Starnge that bear has no ice on it at all oh well winter is here and it is just a matter of time now ;D

right at the boat launch is were i was jumping  the geese were using the area that i fished last year so it just froze.  I didnt go too far out i had my work boots on and didnt want to soak them but i jumped  and heard cracking but no breaking through. I bet where i saw you last year off the beach in lily dale would be just as solid there is still small pockets of open water hopefully the wind will not destroy all the ice.

I think we are supposed to get snow and wind. Those stupid geese that made the whole in the middle much bigger today are going to have me worried about the wind all day tomorrow. 20-30 mph i heard. >:(

I know about the weather but i am trying to stay optimistic   looks like winter is here for good...finally and anyone wants to whack these geese has my blessing and most the town of cassadaga too. I am an optimist but i dont think the wind has enough room to do any damage The ice i checked was clear and solid.
