-40 Degrees!!! Update

coming this way in southern Manitoba everyone.....next few days are going to be COLD...we'll put up with it for a few days and send it southeast to anyone that needs it....hang in there....Grump.......w ell...its friday morning here in sunny Manitoba....one of the guys here reported -38 on his window thermometer.....anyone in need can take it all..... :P :P :tipup: :tipup: :tipup:

Lake George would freeze alot faster at -40 than -10. well worth any heating bills you'd have to "put up with"

Got out a couple of times on the ice this year near algonquin park ontario but then we got rain and plus 10. looks like I'll be waiting a couple more weeks. :'(

All the big lakes up here are ready to freeze, heck the king is 36, all we need is a good two weeks of solid cold, and we'll be set. I really hope it comes soon, because I have a pretty hefty bet that I will icefish the king this winter.

There is a HUGE front comming through the praries right now.  I am in the middle of it now too.  There has been 90 km/h gusts of wind, which makes the snow comming down blinding.  Our temps are dropping as we speak...or while I type and you read.. ;D

8 - 9 degrees here in upper michigan (houghton county) all day, with more coming. been out on all the inland lakes for 10 days with good results. hope for really deep chill to get out on bays of lake superior soon.

Hey, Grump, that front blew through here last night....left way too much snow (a one meter drift blocking my back door...won't even
mention the driveway....and the temperature /windchill are in the -35 range....with blizzard warnings for the rest of the day.  When
it clears on Thursday the temp is going to really drop.  Housebound today, and going NUTS!!!!
