Alan, Westwood will usually run 2 weeks later than Summit for good ice. Also if you have a shanty be prepared to drag it down hill to get on the lake and up hill to get off the lake. I've seen guys {me included} about have heart attackes trying to pull too much up the hill at the end of the day. The gills have ran small there the last 3 years but hopefully that is just a cycle they are going through. It is a long walk to the shallow/north end, although I have had winters in the past where we caught them in 25 feet of water not far from parking? Just depends on the year.
