I've had a pair of cabelas pac boots (rated for -100F) going on 4 years now, and will purchase
another pair when these die.  Comfortable, not too heavy, bulky. Lacy up tight, and are very warm.

Hey Pearcheyes!
If you do go with mickeys check out colemans surplus online. I bought mine about 3 years ago for 40 something. I'm real happy with them! ;D

Go with a pair of Irish Setters.  I have had mine for 3 years now, I ice fish with them and hunt with them.

I've been using Lacrosse Ice Kings for years. The ones with the tire tread sole not the round rubber balls on the sole. Too much snow/mud build up. Very warm. Bought another pair on e-bay last year for around 60.00. Paul

i bought a pair of cabelas pac boots last year for $129.  1200 gram thinsulate.  lightweight with good tread design.  I think any boot that keeps your feet warm on the ice is going to be somewhat bulky.  I never had cold feet last year.
